Kiley Lavanger, MA

From personal experience, Kiley saw how an injury can impact an individuals mental toughness and return to play. The experience of two torn ACLs brought her towards helping others that are recovering from injury. Following completion of her bachelors of science in exercise science and pre-health professions from Creighton University in 2016, her interest grew in how athletes respond psychologically, and how that response can be used in the rehabilitation setting to more positively improve return to play. This interest lead to her receiving her masters of arts in sport and exercise psychology from Minnesota State University-Mankato in 2019, which consisted of two years working with teams and individuals on how they can improve their performance by using mental skills. To put all her interests together, she will begin her education with a doctorate of physical therapy starting in the fall of 2019, back at her alma mater of Creighton University.
